So today is kind of a rough day. Haven't really wanted to talk about it, but figured that I could write about it instead.
Today would have been mine & Brett's 8th Anniversary. This day is mixed with happiness from remembering this day so many years ago......which was one of the happiest days of my life......but then it's also sad because we don't have this time to share and celebrate together.
Makes me feel even lonelier than I normally do.
I know that God has a plan for everything, but sometimes I just don't understand. But, I know that we're not always meant to.
Brett............I want you to know that I love you and I miss you and I am so thankful for all the time that we had together. I love you my baby.

Yes, Yes, I know.....I was away AGAIN......
Okay, well, I have an excuse..........well for part of the time anyway....
I got sick........well, first I got hurt. I pulled a disc in my back..........which sent me to Urgent Care and I think that's how I got sick.
After being miserable for several days with a sore throat and awful cough, I went to the doctor and found out that I had a sinus infection, asthma, bronchitis, and cough. Yeah, lots! lol I left the doctor's office and went to the store and got 5 prescriptions, yep, you read it right FIVE!
After finished the first dose of antibiotics, was still sick, so guess what........I'm on round 2. lol
I'm happy to say that I am starting to feel much better and I am very thankful!!!
So, on to posting!!!!!

Misc TV thoughts

Wow.....it's been almost 2 months since I wrote on here. I need to get better about this. lol
Love in the Wild:
Was very glad that Ken and Yanina won. They deserved it and seemed like a sweet couple.
The Bachelorette:
Very glad that it was Jef in the end. He seems like such a sweetie. I hope they will work out. Time will tell.
Bachelor Pad:
Tough season as I really didn't like any of the people on it.
Whatever little bit of Chris that I liked, was changed after this show.
And the finale.......Nick.......I have no nice words to say, so I will not comment. While I understand what he did, I still think it was wrong. Money goes to people's heads. So sad.
Big Brother:
I liked most of the cast this season, but I think my faves are: Shane, Danielle, Dan, and Frank.
However, Dan has disappointed me. I liked him in the beginning and I know that he's playing a great *game*....just don't like what he's doing to people in the process. Oh well, like I said......it's a game.
I hope Danielle can win.
So You Think You Can Dance:
Well, ended up that I did have 2 faves.......Audrey and Matthew. Was NOT happy when Matthew was sent home and then the next week, Audrey went home. *sigh*
I am really cheering for Eliana to win and Cyrus too.

Dancing With The Stars:
Was VERY happy with the outcome. Didn't care if Donald won or Katherine as long as it wasn't William. Woohoo......goodbye William.
America's Next Top Model:
Over the moon excited that my fave Brit won the whole thing. Way to go Sophie!!! So happy for her!!!
American Idol:
Pleased with the outcome of this one too. Phillip Phillips is good. However, will I buy his music.......probably not.......but wish him all the best anyway. :)

So You Think You Can Dance:
Hmmmm looks like alot of really good dancers again this year. Don't have a fave as of yet......will let you know as soon as I do. :) But, I've been impressed by several.
The Bachelorette:
Wasn't going to watch this, because I'm not a big Emily fan........not really sure why, but just not. But alas, my sister got me watching it once again. lol
There were some good guys, but alot of dorks too.
I really liked Charlie and was sad to see him go home. hmmmm......if he's still single............I'm still single.........just saying. ;-) (hahaha like he'd be reading this anyway) hehehe
Totally was not sad to see Kalen go home. What a jerk. And he was a jerk from night one. He should have been sent packing then. But, at least now he's gone. *and everyone cheers*
Next one I hope to make an exit is Ryan. He rubs me the wrong way and I don't like him at all.
I really like Sean and Arie. These are my 2 faves. Sean looks like a younger version of the man that plays Frank on Army Wives........*sigh* :)
Jef is growing on me, just seems a little too young to be a husband and father.

Was not sad to see Tim and Shauna go home. Tim was so cocky......and so help me if he would have put cake in my hair, he'd have gotten the boot immediately! Shauna is too needy, whiney, etc....and she drove me AND her partners crazy.

Love in the Wild
Okay, so I had put that my fave was Jesse...........boy was I wrong about that. He showed his true colors and even though he may look good, he's a jerk. None of the girls wanted him and he was sent home.
Also, I put that Ali was my fave girl.......nope, she ended up going guy to guy and then ended up alone and went home.
Don't really have a fave.....but hope that Ken and Yanina win. They're a cute and sweet couple.
I liked Ben, til he dumped Jenny for *Jugs*. And don't like Ben any longer.
Was glad to see that Chase & Summer were still dating. This show has better results than the Bachelor/Bachelorette. :)
The Bachelorette
Liked the final 3 choices, but of those my faves would be Sean and Jef. Arie, still like him, but he's not my fave.
Sadly, she sent Sean home..............(*psst hey Sean............I'm still single. *hint, hint*)
I really hope that she picks Jef.....as he seems like a great guy. But we shall see.

Virginia Vacay......
So my family and I left for Williamsburg, VA on May 19th. We left around 5:40AM, yes you read it right...AM. We drove to Lumberton, NC. We got there early afternoon and decided to have an early dinner. So we decided upon the Texas Steakhouse.........this was a 2 in 1 trip. (first and last)
About our dinner.......the rolls were good. That was about it though. Mom's salad had brown lettuce. Mom and Dad's steaks were tough as leather. My sister and I had chicken that was burnt. Blech.
We left and went back to the room and got showers. And the most amazing thing......at 9:30PM, we turned off the lights and all went to sleep. lol Don't remember ever going to bed that early unless I was sick. But we were exhausted.
Got up the next morning and left around 7AM. And headed to Williamsburg. We arrived at our resort.......it was okay, but not spectacular. The lady told Daddy and I that Colonial Williamsburg was a short walk from the resort and that it was about a mile and a half long.......SHE LIED! (that will come later...in this story)
Stay tuned........I'll keep writing on this story, as it was a long trip! lol

It's me again..........
So I know you've just been waiting to know what's been going on in my head.......well, wait no longer......here I am. lol
Sorry for the delay, but it's been so busy lately and I haven't had the chance to sit down and write.
Here are some of my thoughts on my shows:
American Idol
Still really like Skylar, Jessica, Hollie, Colton, and Phillip. Very glad that HeyJun or however you spell his name, finally went home. As long as one of the above wins, it'll be a good season. :)
America's Next Top Model
Yep, still very much a Team UK fan! The Brit girls just have way more personality than the American girls. Honestly, don't really think I like any of the American girls. I like all the Brit girls, but I think Sophie is my fave.
Dancing with the Stars
Well, if you know me even slightly, you'll know that Derek is my absolutely FAVE dancer....so I'm always Team Derek, regardless of who his partner is. LOL His partner this season is okay, but def not my fave.
I like watching Jaleel aka Stefan aka Urkel. He's a very good dancer and seems to be enjoying being on the show.
Was sad this week to see Sherri from the View go home. I didn't know much about her, but I enjoyed her personality and you could tell how much she was loving it.
William should have gone home this week. They screwed up in their routine many times! But alas Cheryl is one of the fave pros so they'll stay around....also because everyone thinks William is sexy. He's okay, but Derek is better (in my opinion anyway). ;-)
Merlin
LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. Very sad that season 4 has come to an end, but pleased to know that they're already filming Season 5 in the UK. (hehehe yep, I like the UK) :)
Sweet Home Alabama
Well, this season ended and Paige picked Jeremiah. I hope that they're very happy. He's not who I would have chosen, but that's a good thing.........means that Bubba is still single! Hmmm.......Bubba's single, I'm still single......................*grin* (yeah, wishful thinkin' there)
I actually liked the guys on SHA better this season than the last. I even liked a few of the city guys, especially Dustin Tavella. :) He's a cutie. And I love his song that he wrote "Do It Like Bubba". If you haven't heard the song, go to YouTube and look it up. You can even see Dustin and Bubba in the video......I highly recommend it. :)
Well, I guess that's about all the thoughts I have at the moment, but I'm sure I'll have more later.

Reality TV show thoughts
Okay, so I figured that I'd post a few comments on current Reality shows that I'm watching...if you're interested in my thoughts/opinions anyway....if not, don't read. hehehehe :)
American Idol
So far the people that I like are: Phillip, Colton, Erika, Holly, Jessica, and Skylar
The ones I don't: Heejun, Deandre, Joshua, and Elise
Philip - he's just unique. Very talented. I can see him going far in the competition.
Colton - he's a rocker and is very good at it. Seems to be a sweetheart too.
Erika - I like her. She's got a great voice!
Holly - such a little girl with a big voice!
Jessica - another little girl with a huge voice. This girl is awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if she made it all the way to final 2!
Skylar - little country spunky monkey! Love to hear her sing!
Heejun - I don't think he should have even made it to Hollywood, let alone top 10?? Really? Are they listening to him sing? I mean I know that he has good pitch, but his words are AWFUL. He needs to go home.
Deandre - Is he awful.....well, not completely, but he's not good either. Every time I see him, for some reason, I'm picturing Kenny G and Milli Vanilli. Don't get me wrong, I like both of those, but that's who I see.......(Note......I said "see", not "hear").
Joshua - He's an okay singer, but I don't see what the judges find all that spectacular about him.
Elise - She's okay, but just not a fave and I usually end up fast forwarding her.

So this season it's Team USA vs Team UK. You'd think that I'd be Team USA all the way, but actually I like Team UK better. I love their accents (obviously), but I like the personalities better as well.
I don't really have a fave so far. But, stay tuned because I'm sure I will later.

I must say that this is the first Bachelor that I really didn't care if I saw all of the final episode, because come on....it was so obvious that Ben was going to pick Courtney. Lindzi should be so thankful that he didn't pick her.
I liked Ben during Ashley's season on the Bachelorette, but he changed my opinion of him. I think it really changed when he sent Kacie B home. I think that's when his true colors started shining through. But, so very thankful for Kacie that he sent her home. She's way too good for him, as are all the other girls that didn't get chosen.
Regarding the Women Tell All show.........really? Did they tell us anything we didn't already know? Nope. Should have been called the Women tell us everything again.....because it was just a rehash of everything we already knew. As for Courtney's tearfest.........did I buy it? Nope. Not one bit. It was an act.......nothing more, nothing less.

My vicarious life
I've come to the conclusion that my vicarious life is more exciting than my real one. LOL
It's been an on-going joke with my friend Suzanne that I'm living vicariously through her as she moved from Australia to the UK and she shares her life with me through her beautiful photographs. (One day I will go to the UK!)
I'm also now living vicariously through 2 of my besties that are expecting babies this year. I'm so thankful and blessed that these 2 friends allow me to share in this wonderful occasion with them and I look forward to spoiling these children!!

**WARNING......spoilers**
Our 3 lucky ladies and their boyfriend head off to Switzerland this week.......why do I think of Bella from Twilight when I hear this word? *grin*
Nicki
Ben and Nicki take a helicopter ride and end up on the top of a mountain for a picnic. They get to see some of the most gorgeous scenery.
Later they have dinner in a log cabin and we learn that Ben wants 4 kids and Nicki only wants 2....but she doesn't mind having a big family.
During the date Ben pulls out the mysterious card (yeah, like we don't see those EVERY season).....and Nicki accepts and goes off to the fantasy suite with Ben. There is a cozy fireplace and a hot tub..........yep, gotta have a hot tub, it's a pre-req for the Bachelor.
Lindzi
Lindzi and Ben go rappelling about 300 ft down a gorge. Umm yeah, not me says the chicken.
And where do they end up after their adventure.........if you guessed a hot tub, you would be correct. An outdoor one at that.
Then they later have dinner at this fancy place (Ben was wearing this ugly bow tie and he looked dorky) and SURPRISE.........She also gets a mysterious card from Ben. Which she says yes to....and they end up in a beautiful fantasy suite.
Lindzi tells Ben that she's open & vulnerable and that she's falling in love with him.
Ben tells us, "I love Lindzi. She's everything I want in a relationship."
Courtney
Ben and Courtney go on a wonderful train ride and have beautiful views. Then they end up in a little town and they go to different shops picking up things for their picnic.
They picnic with cows and even play this stupid game of "Hey Cow". (I could make a comment here, but I'll refrain)
Courtney tells Ben that she feels bad for how she was with the girls. He bought it, but I didn't. She's fake, we all see it, but he doesn't.
A few Courtney quotes (with my quotes added for no extra charge):
"What you see is the real me" (pardon me while I roll my eyes here)
"My guard was up" (Hmmmm, I'm wondering when this was........was it in PR when you went skinny dipping? Nope, I don't think so. Yeah, don't know anyone who's guard was more down......)
"I want normal in my life and that's what you are" (In other words, she's telling him that he's boring. Which has been made obvious by her always looking away, playing with her hair, biting her lip, etc.....)
At their dinner, Ben comes up with yet another one of those mysterious cards. I know that you're gonna be as shocked as I was (NOT) when I tell you that Courtney accepted to spend the nite in the fantasy suite with Ben.
And they even had a hot tub that was in the shape of a barrel. Cozy.........*gag*
Kacie B
Well, Kacie was sent home last week, but she arrived in Switzerland to get some answers.
Ben tells Kacie "Did I see you in the end? No." OUCH. Wonder if that was the answer BEFORE he talked to her parents.
Kacie told Ben that she still cares about him and she warned Ben about Courtney because she doesn't want his heart to get broken.
Ben sends her once again on her way. It's okay Kacie, he's not good enough for you.
Final Rose Ceremony
Final 2 are: Lindzi and Courtney
Nicki is sent home.
Am I surprised by this outcome? Nope. Am I disappointed? yep. I liked Ben, but watching him has changed my opinion. I believe that he's going to pick Courtney and in my opinion good for him and if he does pick her, Lindzi should be glad that he doesn't pick her.
Our 3 lucky ladies and their boyfriend head off to Switzerland this week.......why do I think of Bella from Twilight when I hear this word? *grin*
Nicki
Ben and Nicki take a helicopter ride and end up on the top of a mountain for a picnic. They get to see some of the most gorgeous scenery.
Later they have dinner in a log cabin and we learn that Ben wants 4 kids and Nicki only wants 2....but she doesn't mind having a big family.
During the date Ben pulls out the mysterious card (yeah, like we don't see those EVERY season).....and Nicki accepts and goes off to the fantasy suite with Ben. There is a cozy fireplace and a hot tub..........yep, gotta have a hot tub, it's a pre-req for the Bachelor.
Lindzi
Lindzi and Ben go rappelling about 300 ft down a gorge. Umm yeah, not me says the chicken.
And where do they end up after their adventure.........if you guessed a hot tub, you would be correct. An outdoor one at that.
Then they later have dinner at this fancy place (Ben was wearing this ugly bow tie and he looked dorky) and SURPRISE.........She also gets a mysterious card from Ben. Which she says yes to....and they end up in a beautiful fantasy suite.
Lindzi tells Ben that she's open & vulnerable and that she's falling in love with him.
Ben tells us, "I love Lindzi. She's everything I want in a relationship."
Courtney
Ben and Courtney go on a wonderful train ride and have beautiful views. Then they end up in a little town and they go to different shops picking up things for their picnic.
They picnic with cows and even play this stupid game of "Hey Cow". (I could make a comment here, but I'll refrain)
Courtney tells Ben that she feels bad for how she was with the girls. He bought it, but I didn't. She's fake, we all see it, but he doesn't.
A few Courtney quotes (with my quotes added for no extra charge):
"What you see is the real me" (pardon me while I roll my eyes here)
"My guard was up" (Hmmmm, I'm wondering when this was........was it in PR when you went skinny dipping? Nope, I don't think so. Yeah, don't know anyone who's guard was more down......)
"I want normal in my life and that's what you are" (In other words, she's telling him that he's boring. Which has been made obvious by her always looking away, playing with her hair, biting her lip, etc.....)
At their dinner, Ben comes up with yet another one of those mysterious cards. I know that you're gonna be as shocked as I was (NOT) when I tell you that Courtney accepted to spend the nite in the fantasy suite with Ben.
And they even had a hot tub that was in the shape of a barrel. Cozy.........*gag*
Kacie B
Well, Kacie was sent home last week, but she arrived in Switzerland to get some answers.
Ben tells Kacie "Did I see you in the end? No." OUCH. Wonder if that was the answer BEFORE he talked to her parents.
Kacie told Ben that she still cares about him and she warned Ben about Courtney because she doesn't want his heart to get broken.
Ben sends her once again on her way. It's okay Kacie, he's not good enough for you.

Nicki is sent home.
Am I surprised by this outcome? Nope. Am I disappointed? yep. I liked Ben, but watching him has changed my opinion. I believe that he's going to pick Courtney and in my opinion good for him and if he does pick her, Lindzi should be glad that he doesn't pick her.

And we're off to hometowns.........Week 8
**WARNING........Spoilers**
Ocala, FL - Lindzi
Welcome to the Sunshine State! (AKA.....home of yours truly) Ben arrives to find Lindzi riding a horse........anyone sense a deja vu here?? She then proceeds to take him on a carriage ride.
They then go to meet Lindzi's parents and they learn that her parents were married at the City Hall in SF, which is where Lindzi & Ben's first date was. *hums twilight zone music*
There is a carriage race......the parents vs. Ben/Lindzi.......the parents win, so as the losers, Ben & Lindzi have to pull the parents' carriage back.
Later in the evening there are smores roasted over a camp fire.
Ben says about Lindzi....."She's humble, grounded......I like that."
Clarksville, TN - Kacie B
Ben arrives at a football field and is surprised by a marching band and in the back of the band.......there is Kacie twirling her baton. Awwwwww how sweet.
After she finished her number, she ran and jumped into Ben's arms.
They then have a little picnic in the football stadium, which we learn was named after her grandfather.
Kacie tells Ben about her dad and says that he doesn't drink and he's a probation officer. This concerned Ben and made him nervous.
They go to Kacie's house and Ben meets her parents and her sister.
During the chat with her dad, Ben is quoted as saying "I'm not sure he likes me".
While chatting with her mother, she informs Ben that she's concerned about them moving in together and living together.....that she would be disappointed.
This date/day didn't go as well as planned and it was an awkward goodbye.
Fort Worth, TX - Nicki
Nicki immediately takes Ben and they go and get cowboy boots and cowboy hats. Yeah.......Ben looks like a complete dork in a cowboy hat, so I don't recommend that look for him.
They arrive at Nicki's house and he gets to meet her parents and her brother Matt. Her parents are divorced, but they were both here to meet Ben.
Nicki had a chat with her mom and she told her mom that she was falling in love with Ben and that he'd make a good husband and father.
When she chatted with her dad, he kept telling her that he thinks that he let her down because of her getting hurt with her first marriage.
I'm assuming that Ben chatted alone with the mom, dad, and brother, but we didn't see any of this footage.
At the end of the evening, Nicki's dad said that he gives his total support. Wow. And the brother also gave his approval by saying "I like that guy."
Ben said that they were a warm, inviting and wonderful family and said that he has a "great gut feeling about Nicki". hmmm doesn't that sound like he's in love with her......umm not to me.
Scottsdale, AZ - Courtney
Okay, this had to be the weirdest hometown date ever, but considering who's hometown visit it is, it's not really surprising.
Courtney started off her visit with a visit to her parents. He also got to meet her sister.
Courtney told her family "I like him/love him". However, her mom said "I'd be surprised if she is in love with him. I'm not sold on it." (I'm with the mom on this one)
In a talk with her dad, he tells Ben that marriage is a bet and that you have a 50/50 chance. And asks Ben if he's ready to take that bet. Odd.....very odd.
Courtney has a talk with her mom and during their whole conversation, Courtney plays with her hair. Guess Ben isn't the only one that bores Courtney eh?
After they leave the family, Courtney takes Ben on a picnic. Courtney confesses "I'm 100% in love with Ben, but I haven't told him yet."
During this picnic, Courtney has it all set up like a wedding.......the chairs, the preacher, they write vows, she puts a bow tie on Ben, they walk down the aisle and read their vows in front of the preacher. Exchange twist tie rings..........yeah, totally creepy. But totally something I'd expect from Courtney.

Belize it or not........(Week 7)
This week's adventure takes our contestants (oops, I mean Bachelorettes) and Bachelor to Belize.
1st date - "Two halves make a whole": Lindzi
The date starts off in............a helicopter. Yep, another helicopter. This is getting a little old....need a new mode of transportation here guys.
Ben and Lindzi are circling over this beautiful body of water and Ben says that they're going to jump out of the helicopter and straight into the water. They were going to take a "Leap of Faith". And they did.
After this leap, they had a nice romantic dinner on the dock. Then they wrote a letter and put it in a bottle and threw it into the water. Say it with me now.......Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
2nd date - "Do you Belize in love": Emily
Whoa....they must have been listening.......Emily was picked up in a puddle jumper plane and taken to meet Ben.
Ben and Emily have a casual fun and relaxing kind of date. They road bikes through town, bought coconuts and drank out of them, play basketball with locals, hold hands, go shopping, and dancing.
Then they stumble upon a lobster fisherman and he takes them out to catch lobster. It looked like fun. They each caught one. Woohoo.....Way to go!
They proceed to the Lazy Lizard to eat their lobsters that they caught for dinner. (but I wonder...how do they know that they were really the ones that they caught.....things that make ya go hmmmmmm)
Meanwhile back at the house during Emily's date, the poor girls are having to listen to Courtney whine and complain and say that she's feeling down, and she doesn't think she wants to take him home.
Funny how much that changes when the next date card arrives....
3rd date - "Let's take the next steps in our relationship": Courtney
Courtney's response to this date card: "He's a smart boy, he listens". More like he's dumb and should have sent you home in a helicopter.
Courtney leaves in a plane to meet up with Ben. (yep, plane ride #2)
They walk through a jungle and *stumble* upon a Mayon temple with tons of steps. What do they do, you ask? Well, they climb up the steps of course. About halfway up the steps, they have a picnic. This is where Courtney confides in Ben that the "spark has fizzled" for her. All the while playing with her hair and biting her lip. As Ben listens, he clearly looks confused.
After the picnic, they climb to the top of temple and hang out. Ben feels close to his dad being up there and then proceeds to say: "I can see my life with this woman." Really?? Uh, I can't. I give it a few days, tops.....and that's being generous.
They go to dinner and Ben wants to talk to her about the other girls. Courtney, being Courtney, lies through her teeth and says: "I've tried to win them over. I compliment them." "They're so vanilla and into themselves." "I'm not impressed by these girls."
Of course then she later says (not to Ben of course): "Snap. Girls show's over. Pack your bags. You can all go home."
4th date - "Let's sea who's family I will meet": Rachel, Nicki, Kacie
Ben wakes the girls up at 4AM and tells them to put on their swimsuits.
They promptly begin getting ready, which involves shaving arms in the sink and shaving legs in the shower.
They meet Ben and they go out on a boat. Where Ben informs them that they will be shark diving in shark alley.
Kacie and Nicki thought it was cool and Rachel looked terrified. (I'm with Rachel on this one)
Kacie and Nicki jumped right in and started swimming with the sharks and sting rays. Meanwhile Ben was trying to convince Rachel to get in...........she finally did and Ben held her hand most of the time. This made Kacie jealous and she said that this wasn't fun anymore.
I admire Rachel for even getting in, because I wouldn't have gotten out of the boat. I'd have been saying "Go ahead! Send me home."
They went back to the hotel after the shark diving and hung out.
During his one on one time with the girls, he found out that not only 1 girl was falling in love with him, but 2 were. Nicki and Kacie told him that they were falling.
Kacie received the rose of the date.
Courtney watched their date from the balcony and saw that Kacie received the rose. To which she said about Kacie "She's like a little girl in a boy's body." and then she told us "I'm over these catty girls".
The girls tell Ben to "tread lightly" with Courtney.
Rose Ceremony
There is no cocktail party because Ben knew what he wanted to do. Right before he handed out roses, he pulled Courtney aside and talked to her and asked if she was here for the right reasons..........well of course she said she was.........even though everyone except Ben knows that she isn't.
So you'd think Ben would send Courtney home, right? haha NOPE. He kept her around.

No Rose: Emily, Rachel
Maybe if Emily and Rachel had told Ben that they were falling in love with him they might have stuck around a little while longer.

Valentine's Day/S.A.D...........just another day?
Well, yesterday was Valentine's Day. Did you spend the day with someone you love? I sure hope that you did. I was blessed to spend my Valentine's Day with my parents and my sister.
Yesterday was also known as S.A.D. (Single Awareness Day).
But, I wonder.......do we really need a day to be aware of the fact that we're single? Umm nope, I'm pretty sure that I know that I'm single every day......just seems that Valentine's Day emphasizes the fact that yep.......you're alone.......all alone.
Granted I think that if you have someone you love, you should love them every day, not ONLY on Valentine's Day. Be thankful for every minute, hour, day that you have to spend with them and love them.
One thing I wish some people remembered though............just because someone is single......doesn't always mean that they chose to be single.
I didn't choose to be single, but I am single. (and yes, I'm looking) The only thing that I've wanted since I was a little girl was to be a wife and a mother. Sadly, I am neither. That doesn't mean that I'm going to give up this desire, just that maybe it's still not my time yet. (I hope)

Panama City (Week 6)
**WARNING....spoilers**
So this week we start our journey in Panama City. Florida? Nope, Panama. (Yep, never been to that P.C.)
1st date - "Will our love survive...pack 3 things": Kacie B
This dates takes our Bachelor and Kacie off in..............(yep, you guessed it).......a helicopter! I know, you're just as shocked as I am, right? Not!
They landed on a deserted island and they immediately reveal the 3 things that they brought with them.
Kacie B: stuffed monkey, McGuyver tool, candy
Ben: machete, fishing net, matches
Obviously Ben's things came in more handy, but in Kacie's defense, he knew what they were doing and she did not.
They spent time on the island rescuing coconuts from trees, capturing fish, and enjoying each other's company.
Can love survive..........yep, guess it did because Kacie B got the rose.
2nd date - "Let's get lost": Emily, Nicki, Lindzi, Casey S, Courtney, and Jamie
Well, I was kind of hoping that with that description that maybe Courtney was going to get the boot. I know, I'd like to tell her to get lost.......however, I think the only thing lost on this date were Courtney's clothes. *sigh*
The group and Ben go down the river in this huge canoe. The water looked like mud. (yuck)
They arrive at this location where a tribe lives. Seems that the tribe had been expecting them as they all came out as soon as they arrived. The men took Ben away and the ladies grabbed the girls and took them into these huts.
The women gave the girls new clothing (not much of it) to wear.....and one of the tribe women showed the girls what needed to be under the top.....which was nothing. However, most of the girls opted to keep their bikini tops and bottoms on and just put the new *clothes* on top of them. Yep, you read right.....most........dear 'ol Courtney went commando under her new clothes........which caused the network to have to blur out the screen quite a bit during this date.
Ben came out in nothing but a loin cloth........and the girls were pleased. Ben was also pleased........with Courtney.....as she was the only girl that was blurred.
The group drew on each other and made these ink tattoos. Courtney drew a B+C= <3 on Ben's back. Really?? Are you in elementary or something???
After the day with the tribe, they cleaned up and went back to the hotel to hang out. During Ben's time with Courtney she invited him to come to her room later.
Lindzi got the rose on this date......much to Courtney's chagrin.
Courtney didn't care though.......she went to her room and got all prettied up and waited for Ben. But, yay for Ben.......he didn't show up!! Good for you Ben. Proud of ya!!
3rd date - "Save the last dance for me": Rachel & Blakeley
On the dreaded 2 on 1, they went salsa dancing. However, when Blakeley danced.........I think she needed a pole.
After dancing, they went to dinner. Awkward. Go on a date with a guy and another girl........how romantic. uh yeah.....Can you say third wheel?? Ben spent time with each girl. Blakeley showed Ben the scrapbook that she made of him. (That's kind of creepy).......evidently Ben thought so to, as Blakeley was the one sent home on the 2 on 1 date. To show her maturity, Blakeley stormed off. Oh well, not sad to see the big teeth leaving.
Before the cocktail party, Chris comes and gets Casey S (the mysterious girl). Chris talks to Casey S about her ex, maybe not ex boyfriend Michael. She explains that she's still in love with Michael, however he won't marry her, so she came on the show to see if Ben would marry her. Yeah, that's CRAZY! Chris says that she needs to be honest and tell Ben, so they go see him together. After Casey S spills her guts that she's still in love with Michael, Ben tells her "I think you should go home". And she's sent home.
Jamie talks to Ben during the party and decides to make her move and show Ben that she is interested in him. Only thing is.......she came on way too strong. She'd been so reserved with him and then to all of a sudden straddle him in her short dress and start kissing him was a bit much to take. He said it was like from 0 to 60. She then was coaching him on how they should kiss. Not the best one on one time......which sealed her fate.

So this week we start our journey in Panama City. Florida? Nope, Panama. (Yep, never been to that P.C.)
1st date - "Will our love survive...pack 3 things": Kacie B
This dates takes our Bachelor and Kacie off in..............(yep, you guessed it).......a helicopter! I know, you're just as shocked as I am, right? Not!
They landed on a deserted island and they immediately reveal the 3 things that they brought with them.
Kacie B: stuffed monkey, McGuyver tool, candy
Ben: machete, fishing net, matches
Obviously Ben's things came in more handy, but in Kacie's defense, he knew what they were doing and she did not.
They spent time on the island rescuing coconuts from trees, capturing fish, and enjoying each other's company.
Can love survive..........yep, guess it did because Kacie B got the rose.
2nd date - "Let's get lost": Emily, Nicki, Lindzi, Casey S, Courtney, and Jamie
Well, I was kind of hoping that with that description that maybe Courtney was going to get the boot. I know, I'd like to tell her to get lost.......however, I think the only thing lost on this date were Courtney's clothes. *sigh*
The group and Ben go down the river in this huge canoe. The water looked like mud. (yuck)
They arrive at this location where a tribe lives. Seems that the tribe had been expecting them as they all came out as soon as they arrived. The men took Ben away and the ladies grabbed the girls and took them into these huts.
The women gave the girls new clothing (not much of it) to wear.....and one of the tribe women showed the girls what needed to be under the top.....which was nothing. However, most of the girls opted to keep their bikini tops and bottoms on and just put the new *clothes* on top of them. Yep, you read right.....most........dear 'ol Courtney went commando under her new clothes........which caused the network to have to blur out the screen quite a bit during this date.
Ben came out in nothing but a loin cloth........and the girls were pleased. Ben was also pleased........with Courtney.....as she was the only girl that was blurred.
The group drew on each other and made these ink tattoos. Courtney drew a B+C= <3 on Ben's back. Really?? Are you in elementary or something???
After the day with the tribe, they cleaned up and went back to the hotel to hang out. During Ben's time with Courtney she invited him to come to her room later.
Lindzi got the rose on this date......much to Courtney's chagrin.
Courtney didn't care though.......she went to her room and got all prettied up and waited for Ben. But, yay for Ben.......he didn't show up!! Good for you Ben. Proud of ya!!
3rd date - "Save the last dance for me": Rachel & Blakeley
On the dreaded 2 on 1, they went salsa dancing. However, when Blakeley danced.........I think she needed a pole.
After dancing, they went to dinner. Awkward. Go on a date with a guy and another girl........how romantic. uh yeah.....Can you say third wheel?? Ben spent time with each girl. Blakeley showed Ben the scrapbook that she made of him. (That's kind of creepy).......evidently Ben thought so to, as Blakeley was the one sent home on the 2 on 1 date. To show her maturity, Blakeley stormed off. Oh well, not sad to see the big teeth leaving.
Before the cocktail party, Chris comes and gets Casey S (the mysterious girl). Chris talks to Casey S about her ex, maybe not ex boyfriend Michael. She explains that she's still in love with Michael, however he won't marry her, so she came on the show to see if Ben would marry her. Yeah, that's CRAZY! Chris says that she needs to be honest and tell Ben, so they go see him together. After Casey S spills her guts that she's still in love with Michael, Ben tells her "I think you should go home". And she's sent home.
Jamie talks to Ben during the party and decides to make her move and show Ben that she is interested in him. Only thing is.......she came on way too strong. She'd been so reserved with him and then to all of a sudden straddle him in her short dress and start kissing him was a bit much to take. He said it was like from 0 to 60. She then was coaching him on how they should kiss. Not the best one on one time......which sealed her fate.

PR.....(Week 5)
**Warning: Spoilers**
And so begins another week in the life of the Bachelor.
This week takes us to Puerto Rico.
1st date: Nicki
Ben and Nicki go walking around Old San Juan............but they are caught in a downpour........and are drenched. Since they were soaked, they decided to go shopping and buy new/dry clothes. Ben went for the all white look....while Nicki decided that she wanted to wear a handkerchief disguised as a dress. Even though her dress really didn't go well with her yellow nail polish. lol
While they were walking around, they got to watch a wedding.....and of course this caused them to start talking about Marriage. They talked all about Nicki's first marriage.
I think the funniest thing about this date was they looked like they were sitting in a big soup bowl when they were chatting. lol
Nicki got the rose and several kisses too.
2nd date:-"Diamonds are a girl's best friend": Lindzi, Courtney, Jennifer, Kacie B, Rachel, Casey S, Emily, Jamie, & Blakeley
Yeah, so the date was totally NOT about jewelry. What did they do?? Why play baseball of course. Just what every girl wants to do on a date............(well, not this girl).
They divided into teams:
Team Red: Team Blue:
Courtney Blakeley
Kacie B Emily
Casey S Jennifer
Jamie Rachel
Lindzi (played with both teams)
The winning team got to have a beach party with Ben while the losing team goes back to the hotel.
Team Red won 10-9. Therefore the Red team left on a helicopter (see another one)......and the Blue team left on a school bus.
Kacie B got the rose on this date.
3rd date - "Let's find love somewhere private": Elyse
They spent the day on a yacht and of course spent some time in the water. (had to have all the bikini shots, ya know)
They had dinner on the beach. Beautiful setting.
Elyse opened up to him, however, I don't think her telling him that she was "sick of being single" was the best thing to say. (even if I totally understand and relate to what she was thinking) Doesn't make it seem like she was there to fall in love with him, but instead just looking not to be single and that any man would do.
Sadly, Elyse is going to be single a bit longer as Ben didn't give her the rose and sent her on her way in a life boat and he let the rose float in the ocean instead.
After Elyse's luggage is carried out of the hotel by the mysterious baggage removal men, Courtney decides to go visit Ben........wearing a bathrobe and not much else. She met him at his door with champagne......then she convinced him to go skinny dipping in the ocean with her. Ben, not surprisingly, agrees to do this and they bare all and go in the water. *insert gag here*
Oh yeah, must give you the Courtney quote of the night: regarding Elyse leaving... "Maybe she drank too much and the Jersey Shore came out."
At the end of the evening everyone stayed except Jennifer (and of course Elyse).

Friends.
Found out some sad news yesterday. A friend of mine passed away on Jan 27 from cancer. I had no idea. I think in some ways, I'm still in a bit of shock. We were good friends several years ago when we worked together and we talked every day/several times a day. Then I don't remember what happened, but we lost touch. Found out that the cancer had gotten really bad last year..........sure wish I would have known. Would have found a way to call and/or write and let him know that I was thinking about him. But, cannot do that now. Even though I haven't talked to him in years, it never changes that he was my friend. I miss you Joel and I'm so sorry that we lost touch. :(
I guess this loss has made me think a lot lately. I'm the type of person that once we become friends, you are my friend for life. We may grow apart, move away, not talk, or whatever, but that never stops you from being my friend. I treasure my friends.
I am blessed to have many friends, some that are closer than others, but I am thankful for each and every one.
Love your friends and treasure every moment that you have with them, for you never know when you may never get the chance to do that again.

Another state - more drama (Week 4)
*WARNING........Spoilers*
And this week's drama of the Bachelor takes us to Utah.
The girls got to stay at this gorgeous hotel called the Canyons.
1st date: "Let's let nature take it's course" - Rachel
Date started off with the typical Bachelor ride, a helicopter! *shock* NOT! lol However, the other girls seemed to be jealous............sometimes I wonder if they're told to act shocked and jealous, because after so many seasons they should KNOW that there will be helicopter rides. LOL
Ben took Rachel out on the lake and it was sooooo romantic. sarcasm noted here They kissed.....with tons of bugs swarming around. Uh bet they ate bugs too. Yuck! lol (I don't like bugs, if you didn't know that already)
After that, they go on a "real date"........this meant that they went to dinner. LOL Hey.......I didn't say it, that's what they called it. lol During their dinner, the conversation was quite laggy and boring, honestly. Ben said that he felt that she was holding something back and that he was confused about her, however she ended up getting the rose and then they went to make smores. woohoo!
2nd date: "Let's see if you're a great catch" - Jamie, Casey S, Lindzi, Blakeley, Samantha, Nicki, Kacie B, and Courtney
They went horseback riding and fly fishing.........yeah, it'd definitely be love if someone got ME back on a horse. Been there, done that, have nightmares to prove it. LOL
Ben took time with each of the girls to *help* them with their fishing. *side note* don't you just know how sexy they were in those waders? LOL
Courtney took her chance and got Ben to go upstream a little to fish together, so they could have one on one time. *gag* Courtney told us "catching a fish probably isn't that much harder than catching a man."......hmmm really??
Well, Courtney ended up being the only girl that caught the fish. After catching it, she had Ben kiss the fish and then he had her do it. YUCK! lol
After they had become all pretty again, Ben pulled the mysterious Casey S aside to talk to her, before we could find out more about this girl, Nicki interrupted them. After a brief kiss, Nicki's turn was interrupted by Samantha.
Samantha asked Ben why she had 3 groups and only group dates. He told her that on the group dates that she was emotional on dates and didn't seem to take this seriously. And then he sent her home. Way to go Ben!! Good move! :)
Courtney had to talk to Ben and she did the *fake* sob story of "I'm having a hard time of this" blah blah blah, so Ben being the sucker that he seems to be with her gave her the rose. Blech.
3rd and final date: "Let's pick our love song" - Jennifer
This was probably my fave date of the week.......not so much the first part, but the last. lol
They went hiking and then rappelled down this crater and then dropped into the water. A bit scary, but looked pretty cool though.
Mysteriously they got out of the crater and ended up in the air riding on a gondola. Then they were eating dinner outside in the midst of lightning and then it started raining, so they went running in the rain. Ben gave Jennifer the rose, then they went on the gondola again and they ended up at a Clay Walker concert. LOVE Clay Walker! :) They went to the front of the stage and danced and kissed (with all these strangers around them, that made it on tv lol)
Cocktail party:
Only things to really share here from this are:
- Emily talked to Ben about Courtney being one way with him and the other with the girls....this did not go over well with Ben, as we know he's smitten *gag* over her for some strange reason
- While Emily was talking to some of the girls about talking about telling Ben about Courtney, Casey S told us that she was friends with Courtney, and that Courtney was the "most genuine person here". Are you serious?? The wall is more genuine than Courtney. *shrugs*

My cousin Richard
Four years ago today, we lost my cousin Richard. It's still hard to believe that he's gone. Every event we go to, it's like you expect to see him, yet he's not there.
Richard wasn't just a cousin, he was like a brother to my sister and I. We grew up together. It was always Wendy & I and Michael &Richard. The 2 boys and the 2 girls.
Richard was one of a kind. To know him was to love him. He loved everyone...........unless you really made him mad.......and if you did that, you had REALLY done something bad.
You didn't tell Richard that he couldn't do something, because he would prove you wrong.
He told me at his last birthday that he was going to retire before he was 30.......we were like, yeah right......sure Richard. Well, he passed away when he was 28. So, guess he was right again.
I miss you Richard and would give anything to have one of your big bear hugs again.

San Francisco here we come..........(Week 3)
**WARNING......Spoilers ahead**
So this week's Bachelor takes place in San Francisco.
First date of the week: "Love lifts us up".
The date card arrives and it is for Emily........the skin disease lady. The date card says
Courtney (aka "The Model") gave us some quotes after this........"I'm sure the date with Emily will be boring." "Alot of the girls are well educated, but booksmart can be boring." Oh really??????? hmmm So is she saying that she's not well educated and she's not book smart? Because she obviously doesn't think she's boring. (however, I'd have to disagree)
So for Emily and Ben's date..........oh no big deal.....they're going to walk up the Bay Bridge.....
I have to give kudos to Em, because I for one would have said "if this is the only way to get the rose, send me home because I am NOT climbing this bridge!" But, even though she was scared out of her skin, she did it. When they were getting their safety lesson, we learned something very important............"This is a dangerous place. It's not DisneyLand." Hmmm.......yeah, I didn't see Mickey or Minnie, so figured we weren't at Disney. Although I would have wanted lots of pixie dust on me before I'd do that! lol
Emily told us that she is scared of 2 things: rejection and heights.......she conquered her fear of heights and made it to the top of the bridge AND she got the rose. (Later she even saw fireworks...........yeah, he kissed her, but they really saw fireworks too). (so did the other girls....and they were jealous)
Second date of the week: "Leap List"
Group date: Blakeley (aka Jugs, Big Teeth, etc), Jaclyn, Kacie B, Erika, Samantha, Monica, Rachel, Nikki, Casey S, Elyse, & _______
Casey S (the mysterious one that we know almost nothing about) shared with us her leap list: "My leap list is running with bulls, swimming with sharks, and falling in love." ...... falling in love?? ranks with running with bulls and swimming with sharks?? well.......I guess it could............*shrugs*
This date was quite interesting......they went snow skiing. Yep, you read that right.........snow skiing......in bikini's no less. *rolls eyes* Kacie B totally fell the most and impressed everyone with her butt skiing backward moves. Ben decided that he was going to move butt skiing backwards to his leap list. lol
After the skiing was over, the girls got dressed (shocker I know) and they went to Tonga.
Poor Kacie B had a hard time watching Ben with the other girls and she told him so. But when Ben & Kacie B kissed.........all was forgotten. "She sparkles. I like her." Ben said about Kacie.
The rose of the night went to Rachel. I don't know what it is about her, but she just looks old to me. I know it says that she's only 27 (which is not even remotely old)......but when I see her with Ben, I feel like he's with an older woman. Oh well......don't see the chemistry there, but we only see snippets of their time together too. However, Rachel said that this was the best day of her life. Good for her.

The Last Date card: "Let's unlock our heart to love with a key to the city"
This was for Brittney and with it came a box with a beautiful key necklace.
Brittney seemed disappointed and in shock, all at the same time. She said that it didn't feel right and that she felt confused, overwhelmed, and that she thinks she's going to go home. She then packed her bag and left to find Ben. She arrived with her bag and pulled Ben aside and told him "I think you'll find a great girl, but it's not me." and then Ben put her in a taxi and sent her on her way.....after making sure he said to tell her grandma hello. (somehow I think Grandma would have done better on the show............)
So................Last Date (Take 2):
The lucky recipient is Lindzi. (The horse girl)
On their date they ride on a trolley, get ice cream, go through China Town.......all the while Ben is the tour guide. The end up at SF City Hall and the doors are locked.......but surprise, surprise........Ben has the key and can unlock the door. Okay, must admit, going to City Hall does not sound very romantic.......however, seeing Matt Nathanson come down the stairs does help quite a bit. :) Matt sings for them so that they can dance. So they danced and kissed and repeat and repeat.
After the concert, Ben takes her to a speak easy and Lindzi receives the rose. "The night is magical."
Before the rose ceremony:
Jennifer gets some one on one time and Ben tells her that she is the best kisser in the house. Which *insert shocked face here* causes them to start kissing. Yeah, I know.......couldn't believe it myself either. lol Every time I look at Jennifer, she reminds me of Pamela Moran on Army Wives. :)
There is a surprise visitor to the cocktail party.......Shawntel, the funeral director, from Brad's season. Well, she decided that she's meant for Ben, so comes to the party to show him. She definitely made him speechless and they even have to *bleep* out some of his words.
Courtney (The Model) quotes in regards to the girls: "These girls are so naive and juvenile." "I'd never be friends with them."
Quotes from the girls regarding Courtney: "Ben sees a different side of her." "She has a social disorder and needs a diagnosis."
Quote of the night though goes to Courtney......she said to Ben in their one on one time......."I think we'd make cute babies." Yeah, can't even think of a comment to go with how absolutely tacky that was.

Jennifer gets some one on one time and Ben tells her that she is the best kisser in the house. Which *insert shocked face here* causes them to start kissing. Yeah, I know.......couldn't believe it myself either. lol Every time I look at Jennifer, she reminds me of Pamela Moran on Army Wives. :)
There is a surprise visitor to the cocktail party.......Shawntel, the funeral director, from Brad's season. Well, she decided that she's meant for Ben, so comes to the party to show him. She definitely made him speechless and they even have to *bleep* out some of his words.
Courtney (The Model) quotes in regards to the girls: "These girls are so naive and juvenile." "I'd never be friends with them."

Drama..........take 2 (week2)
**WARNING......Spoilers ahead**
We begin this week's drama......eh adventure in Ben's hometown of Sonoma, California.
First date of the week......goes to Kacie B. Good choice Ben, I approve. (I know he was waiting for my approval hahaha) They go exploring in the little town and end up in a little toy store/candy store. While there Kacie finds a baton and dazzles Ben with her twirling skills and even teaches Ben how to twirl. Takes a manly man to walk and twirl a baton down the street. LOL Later on in the evening they go to a theater and they are treated to home movies of Kacie & then movies of Ben. It was heartbreaking to watch Ben see his dad on the screen.......such a tender moment and I'm really glad that he chose that date to be with Kacie B. Kacie was given the rose and many kisses. (insert awwwwww here) Such a cute couple. I'd give this date a 4 out 5.
Next date....group date: Blakeley, Jenna, Jaclyn, Samantha, Monica, Rachel, Emily, Nicki, Shawn, Jennifer, Brittney, and Jamie. These girls get to put on a play at a Community Theater where the directors are kids and the kids were the writer of the play as well. Cute idea! :) The girls first had to audition for the kids to select which role they would play. The roles were as follows:
Jenna: wizard with a beard
Jennifer: weasel
Jaclyn: princess
Samantha: pig
Blakeley: gingerbread man
Monica: dragon
Ben: knight/prince, sheep (2 roles for Ben)
Rachel: hippie
Emily: Valley girl
Nicki: donkey
??? : tree (One of the girls was a tree, but don't know which one she is)
And the other girls......not sure what they were as they didn't seem to make the cut.
Ben was transformed from a prince into a sheep and then the dragon gets to blow off his sheep's clothing and then he's a prince again...........yeah, something like that anyway. lol
After the play was over, Ben took the girls to a pool. Gee shocker there, ain't it?? Haven't had the girls in bikini's yet, so they had to do that. lol
It was decided amongst the girls that Jennifer should win the Oscar for her role as the weasel. Hmmm, is that a compliment?? lol Well, yeah, we'll take it as one.......she was funny and good at making everyone laugh.

When the date card arrived, it said "Spin the Bottle". To which we got these lovely quotes from Courtney:
"He wants to kiss me" & "I think were gonna make out". All the while twirling her hair of course.
For this date, they went driving and then had a little picnic in the woods, near a lake. Ben's dog Scotch went as a chaperone.
Ben's quote about Courtney "She's witty, smart, and almost too good to be true". (He's got the last part right at least)
Ben was spilling his guts to her (obviously smitten) and I don't know how he didn't notice how utterly bored she was. She was just acting like she was listening. (are we sure she's a model and not an actress?? Maybe she's trying to get into acting.......)
They had their "AHA moment".........don't ask, it didn't make sense to me.........and Ben gave her the rose. (Darn......was hoping he'd send her home) After the rose was given (wish it had thorns.......oops, did I say/write that??) Ben sat on a swing and TooGoodToBeTrue Courtney sat in his lap. *insert gag here* She got the rose and lots of kissing and then gave us another quote (while not with Ben) of: "All other girls should watch out cause I got the rose"........*insert hair twirling here*
Rating of date: 2 out of 5. (and only got a 2 because had the cute dog on the date)
Before the rose ceremony:
We got to learn a little more about some of the girls and got some more quotes too.
Lindzi --Ben told her that she didn't get a date this week, because she made such a good impression the first time. (Yeah, Courtney said that she didn't make the impression that the horse was the one that got the first impression rose). We also learned that she's a "tractor guy" and drives a truck......and Ben gives her butterflies. (Yeah, we can insert an awwwwww here)
Samantha--She's a cool girl and she hates drama, she was interrupted in her talk with Ben by "Jugs" (aka Blakeley..........so Samantha went and took Jenna's spot and spent time in the bathroom. *sigh*
Jenna--Was moderately proud of Jenna.....she didn't have a breakdown.......no wait......she did. We learned from Jenna that "drama brings out the worst in you" and then she told Ben that she "feels like a guy" and then told him "I'm not like a girl". Uh oooooooookkkkkk. *insert cricket sounds here* After this confessional time with Ben.........yep, you guessed it.........crying AGAIN. She couldn't hide in the bathroom because it was occupied, so she crawled in bed and cried.
Nicki --We find out that she's not a show girl. Uh, okay, that's good to know.
Blakeley--Not to be outdone by Samantha and Jenna......she goes to the luggage room and curls up in the corner and is *fake* crying. Ben finds her and tells her "Take a moment. Collect yourself". (obviously he's been hanging around Chris Harrison alot LOL)
So........who stays and who goes.....
Stays: Jennifer, Emily, Elyse, Jaclyn, Erika, Rachel, Lindzi, Nicki, Casey S, Samantha, Monica, Jamie, and Brittney
Goes: Jenna, Shawn
Final thoughts:
Was sad to see Shawn go, but I guess there wasn't the chemistry with Ben (also she didn't get much air time.......maybe if she would have cried or something.....). Jenna seemed shocked to be going home (not really sure why as we all knew that was coming).

Girls I don't like: Blakeley (can't get past the big teeth), Courtney (hair twirlers anonymous could do wonders for her)

A dark little cloud today.
Today just felt like there was a black cloud hovering over me today and it wasn't until I was on my way home from work that I realized what it was.
The date finally sunk in. January 9th. Seven years ago today, I lost my best friend Mark. Well, can't really say that I lost him, because I know where he is, but he's not here with me anymore.
I know that he is in a better place and he isn't hurting any longer. I hated to see him suffer and would have done anything to have taken his pain away.
I feel bad that it took me almost the whole day to remember. Does that mean that I'm forgetting or does it mean that it's finally getting a little easier?
I miss you Mark, with all of my heart. I will never forget you.

Someday my prince will come.....
Well. actually he's already here! Prince Arthur (aka Bradley James) is back! hehehe Merlin started back on SyFy this week! So very excited!!! I am totally smitten with Arthur! :)
Also, the other knights aren't so bad to look at either........Sir Leon, Sir Gwaine, Sir Lancelot, Sir Percival, and Sir Elyan.
I know one thing for sure.......Gwen (Angel Coulby) is one lucky girl. She gets to kiss/hug all over Arthur all the time......and she's also got to do the same with Lancelot. Rough job she has. LOL I'd switch. ;-) hehehe
But, I'm still hopes that one day I'll have a prince of my own........he doesn't even have to be a prince really. Just a nice single guy that can sweep me off my feet would be nice. *sigh* Some day..........

And the drama begins...
*Warning: Spoiler Alert*
So.......the Bachelor started the new season this week and you know there is ALWAYS drama.
Here is a run down of my opinions of each girl:
Amber B--Calls herself the "Bacon-ator"......really? I mean is any guy going to be attracted to that? Well, maybe Adam from this past season's Big Brother, but he's about the only one. Was not impressed by her dress either, looked like it was tye-dyed. She tried to impress Ben by asking if he'd like a sample. He kissed her hand, but you could tell he wasn't impressed. Was I surprised that she went home.........Nope, not in the slightest.
Amber T--In the beginning we got to learn more about this girl than Ben actually got to see. She's an avid game hunter and she loves beef nuts. What are beef nuts you may ask? Well she told us. Beef nuts = Cow balls. Uh yeah, can you say *insert barf* here?? She met Ben and then walked around him again and said something about if you don't believe in love at first sight then she was giving him a 2nd chance. Umm.....okay. And she went home.
Anna -- She had a beautiful dress, but her way of impressing Ben...........walking by him without talking to him. Hmmmm didn't seem to work too well, as she was sent home without a rose. (Note to self: don't try this one)
Blakeley -- First impression of her........big teeth. Sorry, I know that's not very nice, but honestly that was the first thing I saw. Her dress also somewhat reminded me of a circus tent, other than it being white with pink stripes. I guess it was pretty enough, just not something I would have picked. When she was talking to Ben, she showed him her tattoo......"key to my heart". Hmmm does anyone else have flashbacks to Kasey from the Bachelorette, when Kasey got the tattoo showing the key to his heart?? This girl may be as creepy as him too. (Read Monica's below for more about Blakeley).
Brittney -- Beautiful girl.....however, she did something that hasn't been done before in Bachelor history. She brought her grandma along. Cute, kind of. Kept laughing to myself at the thought of my grandmas going on a show like that with me. They wouldn't have done it. LOL Didn't seem to impress the other girls much by having Grandma Cheryl around. Honestly, didn't get to know much about Brittney as Grandma did most of the talking. However, when Brittney did speak, if I closed my eyes, it sounded like Carrie Underwood talking.
Casey S -- Yeah, don't have any opinion of her. Didn't get anything from her intro and didn't get anything during the whole evening. But, Ben kept her around, so maybe there's something more to her. I didn't find anything worth commenting on.
Courtney -- She's a model and is quite cocky. She greets Ben with "Hey Cutie Pie. Come here often?" Oh yeah, that's really original. Sounds like she's used it a few times. *rolls eyes* She said that she's a hair girl........and she proved that...she kept playing with her hair all night. And she's not worried about any of the other girls, because she's better than them. (so she says anyway) I kept looking at this girl and she reminded me of someone.......finally figured out who it was. The Mayor (aka Wicked Queen) off of the new show Once Upon a Time. Hmmmm fitting I believe?? lol
Dianna -- When she stepped out of the limo, I thought that she was ahead of the game and just wore a wedding dress to start off. If that wasn't enough, she decided to impress the Bachelor by blindfolding him and making him guess candies that she pulled out of a paper bag. Ummm yuck! I hope she washed her hands before touching the candy (as they were not in wrappers). Ben was a good sport, but sent the candy bride home.
Elyse -- She's a personal trainer and told Ben that she was going to make him sweat. Well.....she did. Later in the evening she made him do pushups. At least Ben can stay in shape for at least a week, because he kept her around.
Emily -- This girl studies diseases. I don't know who looked more grossed out, Ben or myself. I mean I guess someone needs to do this. lol She gave him hand sanitizer and breath spray and then proceeded to give him the first kiss of the night. Bold girl......very bold! Later on she performed for him by doing a "gangsta" rap. I think he found it amusing.......
Erika -- I think she lost part of her dress on the way in the limo.......seemed like some of it was missing. She is a law student and told him that the verdict was in.........that he was sexy. Original? Not really. LOL
Holly -- BIG HAT! Oh my......the girl had this huge straw hat on her head. Holly......I think you should borrow Princess Beatrice's hat from the Royal Wedding next time..... LOL She later put the hat on Ben.......he was a good sport about it, but I guess he wasn't too into the hat lady because he sent her home.
Jaclyn -- Honestly, the only thing I remember about her is that she told Ben that he was "dapper". Now THERE's a word that is used as an adjective every day. Not!
Jamie -- really liked this girl. She seemed really sweet. Back story on her.......she got custody of her siblings when she was really young and has raised them. She's also a Labor and Delivery Nurse. I hope that she'll stick around for awhile.
Jenna -- She had a great idea.......use one the quotes Ben used last season.....only prob is.......she quoted it wrong and he had to correct her. Oopsies. You could have heard crickets chirping after that one. Later on in the night she provided us with the first major drama. We had tears galore. She holed up in the bathroom for awhile. Was she crying over Ben? Oh no.....she was crying because some of the girls didn't like her. Her quote of the night, "I don't wanna be drama". Ummm well honey, you ARE drama!
Jennifer -- She is an accountant and had a cute intro with Ben using numbers of how many miles she came, etc... Cute. However, only thing I remember is that she had pretty hair.
Kacie B -- Tennessee girl. Told Ben not to sugarcoat anything. I like that. She seems like a sweet girl. I'm glad that she's gonna stick around for at least another week.
Lindzi C -- Another Bachelor first........she rode in on a horse. I think Ben was speechless. It worked though because it earned her the first impression rose. (note to future participants.....try something like this.....maybe ride in on a camel, or elephant, or something......) She shared that she attempted to make wine, but said that it didn't work well with store bought grapes. Ben thought it was cute and he gave her the first real kiss of the evening.
Lyndsie J -- She's from England and I bloody LOVED her accent! However..........she talks a million miles a minute and I was having trouble keeping up with her. She was like the Energizer bunny albeit a dorky one. She made up a poem for Ben......sad, but I think she found it funnier than he did. LOL Seemed like a nice enough girl, but she was sent home.
Monica -- First impression......I LOVE her dress!! It's purple!! (my fave color of course) Odd intro though....she told Ben that she had a confession......wait for it...........She misses her dog more than anything. The look on Ben's face was priceless.....both he and I were shocked with that confession. lol Later in the evening she confessed that she felt nothing for Ben...............HOWEVER, I believe she did have feelings for Blakeley. Her and Blakeley got really cozy together. Not sure if there will be a love connection with her and Ben, but not sure about her and Blakeley.......stay tuned.
Nicki -- She told Ben that he was "Precious". Say it with me now......AWWWWWWWWWWWWW All in all, she seemed very sweet and bubbly.
Rachel -- I think she was excited to meet Ben as she bounced to see him in a pretty red dress. Maybe she was channeling Tigger? lol But we learned later.......not only can she bounce, but she left her job to go on the show. She'd been working there a long time........5 years! hmmmm makes my 15+ years at my job seem kind of......um.......ancient?? lol
Samantha -- pageant winner....how do we know? why she wore her sash of course. Duh. LOL Sadly, that's about all I learned about her.
Shawn -- Couldn't miss her getting out of the limo....she was wearing a bright lime green dress! She slugged Ben on the arm after meeting him. Kind of funny and Ben looked taken aback by the slug. She made it up to him later by playing soccer with him (in her heels no less)
Shira -- She decided for her intro to tell Ben that she knows everything about wine and for him to ask her a question. Well, he does and she doesn't know the answer. She then told him that she knows nothing about wine. Uh, FAIL. Yeah, I knew one thing........she was going home........and she did.
Well, so far I guess the girls that I like the best are Jamie, Kacie B, and Shawn. We'll see how they fair next week.
So.......the Bachelor started the new season this week and you know there is ALWAYS drama.
Here is a run down of my opinions of each girl:
Amber B--Calls herself the "Bacon-ator"......really? I mean is any guy going to be attracted to that? Well, maybe Adam from this past season's Big Brother, but he's about the only one. Was not impressed by her dress either, looked like it was tye-dyed. She tried to impress Ben by asking if he'd like a sample. He kissed her hand, but you could tell he wasn't impressed. Was I surprised that she went home.........Nope, not in the slightest.
Amber T--In the beginning we got to learn more about this girl than Ben actually got to see. She's an avid game hunter and she loves beef nuts. What are beef nuts you may ask? Well she told us. Beef nuts = Cow balls. Uh yeah, can you say *insert barf* here?? She met Ben and then walked around him again and said something about if you don't believe in love at first sight then she was giving him a 2nd chance. Umm.....okay. And she went home.
Anna -- She had a beautiful dress, but her way of impressing Ben...........walking by him without talking to him. Hmmmm didn't seem to work too well, as she was sent home without a rose. (Note to self: don't try this one)
Blakeley -- First impression of her........big teeth. Sorry, I know that's not very nice, but honestly that was the first thing I saw. Her dress also somewhat reminded me of a circus tent, other than it being white with pink stripes. I guess it was pretty enough, just not something I would have picked. When she was talking to Ben, she showed him her tattoo......"key to my heart". Hmmm does anyone else have flashbacks to Kasey from the Bachelorette, when Kasey got the tattoo showing the key to his heart?? This girl may be as creepy as him too. (Read Monica's below for more about Blakeley).
Brittney -- Beautiful girl.....however, she did something that hasn't been done before in Bachelor history. She brought her grandma along. Cute, kind of. Kept laughing to myself at the thought of my grandmas going on a show like that with me. They wouldn't have done it. LOL Didn't seem to impress the other girls much by having Grandma Cheryl around. Honestly, didn't get to know much about Brittney as Grandma did most of the talking. However, when Brittney did speak, if I closed my eyes, it sounded like Carrie Underwood talking.
Casey S -- Yeah, don't have any opinion of her. Didn't get anything from her intro and didn't get anything during the whole evening. But, Ben kept her around, so maybe there's something more to her. I didn't find anything worth commenting on.
Courtney -- She's a model and is quite cocky. She greets Ben with "Hey Cutie Pie. Come here often?" Oh yeah, that's really original. Sounds like she's used it a few times. *rolls eyes* She said that she's a hair girl........and she proved that...she kept playing with her hair all night. And she's not worried about any of the other girls, because she's better than them. (so she says anyway) I kept looking at this girl and she reminded me of someone.......finally figured out who it was. The Mayor (aka Wicked Queen) off of the new show Once Upon a Time. Hmmmm fitting I believe?? lol
Dianna -- When she stepped out of the limo, I thought that she was ahead of the game and just wore a wedding dress to start off. If that wasn't enough, she decided to impress the Bachelor by blindfolding him and making him guess candies that she pulled out of a paper bag. Ummm yuck! I hope she washed her hands before touching the candy (as they were not in wrappers). Ben was a good sport, but sent the candy bride home.
Elyse -- She's a personal trainer and told Ben that she was going to make him sweat. Well.....she did. Later in the evening she made him do pushups. At least Ben can stay in shape for at least a week, because he kept her around.
Emily -- This girl studies diseases. I don't know who looked more grossed out, Ben or myself. I mean I guess someone needs to do this. lol She gave him hand sanitizer and breath spray and then proceeded to give him the first kiss of the night. Bold girl......very bold! Later on she performed for him by doing a "gangsta" rap. I think he found it amusing.......
Erika -- I think she lost part of her dress on the way in the limo.......seemed like some of it was missing. She is a law student and told him that the verdict was in.........that he was sexy. Original? Not really. LOL
Holly -- BIG HAT! Oh my......the girl had this huge straw hat on her head. Holly......I think you should borrow Princess Beatrice's hat from the Royal Wedding next time..... LOL She later put the hat on Ben.......he was a good sport about it, but I guess he wasn't too into the hat lady because he sent her home.

Jaclyn -- Honestly, the only thing I remember about her is that she told Ben that he was "dapper". Now THERE's a word that is used as an adjective every day. Not!
Jamie -- really liked this girl. She seemed really sweet. Back story on her.......she got custody of her siblings when she was really young and has raised them. She's also a Labor and Delivery Nurse. I hope that she'll stick around for awhile.
Jenna -- She had a great idea.......use one the quotes Ben used last season.....only prob is.......she quoted it wrong and he had to correct her. Oopsies. You could have heard crickets chirping after that one. Later on in the night she provided us with the first major drama. We had tears galore. She holed up in the bathroom for awhile. Was she crying over Ben? Oh no.....she was crying because some of the girls didn't like her. Her quote of the night, "I don't wanna be drama". Ummm well honey, you ARE drama!
Jennifer -- She is an accountant and had a cute intro with Ben using numbers of how many miles she came, etc... Cute. However, only thing I remember is that she had pretty hair.
Kacie B -- Tennessee girl. Told Ben not to sugarcoat anything. I like that. She seems like a sweet girl. I'm glad that she's gonna stick around for at least another week.
Lindzi C -- Another Bachelor first........she rode in on a horse. I think Ben was speechless. It worked though because it earned her the first impression rose. (note to future participants.....try something like this.....maybe ride in on a camel, or elephant, or something......) She shared that she attempted to make wine, but said that it didn't work well with store bought grapes. Ben thought it was cute and he gave her the first real kiss of the evening.
Lyndsie J -- She's from England and I bloody LOVED her accent! However..........she talks a million miles a minute and I was having trouble keeping up with her. She was like the Energizer bunny albeit a dorky one. She made up a poem for Ben......sad, but I think she found it funnier than he did. LOL Seemed like a nice enough girl, but she was sent home.

The beginning..........
Well.........here I am. I finally made it!
Was beginning to think I was going to be stuck on just deciding on a title for my own little blog, but I am fairly pleased with what I finally came up with. What do you think?
I can't promise that this blog will always be exciting, but I can guarantee that you will have laughs along the way, if nothing else laughing at me and what goes on inside my head.
Anyway.......just wanted to say hello and thanks for being with me on this journey into blogging. :) Sit back and enjoy the ride (read). :)
