Bachelorette Des..........Week 1

Please pardon my disappearance, but life happens sometime.

But...what better way to start blogging again, but with the ever popular subject matter.


So, the Bachelorette has started and Desiree is the new Bachelorette.

Is she my favorite choice, no, but I still like her okay.

After seeing her 25 suitors........I honestly felt sorry for her.  I thought that there were more to send home than to keep.  (oops, maybe shouldn't have said that, even if it is true)

The 25 suitors:

•  Drew 27 - Digital Marketing.  He looks sweet, was very nervous and kept talking about having butterflies.  Has very giddy laughs and lots of smiles. 
• Brooks 28 - Marketing.  He was very nervous but seemed nice enough.  Didn't really get a real vibe of him yet to have a better opinion yet.
• Brad 27 - Accountant.  Not really sure about him yet as the only thing that stood out was his intro out of the limo.  The wishbone was cute.  He gets an "E" for effort at least.
• Bryden 26 - Iraq Veteran (Army).  Okay, so I know that I'm partial to military men, but I really liked this guy.  He seems like a very sweet, yet quiet guy.  I agree with Des.......he is adorable.
• Michael G 33 - Federal Prosecutor - Kind of a cute intro with trying to find Des' penny in the fountain.  However, I did find myself wishing he'd fall in..........that would have been funny. lol
• Kasey 29 - Advertising executive.  I call this guy "Hashtag guy".  He reminds me of a cartoon character with his cheesy grin and his arched eyebrows, but Oh my goodness......he was driving me crazy with all his #craziness.  He told Des, that she was #marriagematerial and #letthejourneybegin.  Please Des.......if he keeps it up, #SENDHIMHOME!!!!!!
• Will 28 - Banker.  He seems interesting.........he does yoga and high fives complete strangers on the street.  I will say he's friendly.  However, I think he should have spent more time on his intro out of the limo.  Telling Des that she was a goddess and he'd give her the name Athena.  I kind of felt like I was watching Survivor again with Phillip assigning names for the "Stealth R Us" team again. lol
• Mikey T 30 - Plumbing Contractor - Didn't really get to know him much.  However, thought he was sweet with his "family knows best".  
• Jonathan 26 - Lawyer.  All I can say is WOW.  Dude, I really hope that you still have a job.  I'm not sure if maybe he was drunk or what.......but I can truly see why his "lovetank has not been completed for years".  I call him the "Fantasy Suite Creep".  He told Des that he has no filter and I believe he proved that to the rest of the world.  
• Zak W 31 - Drilling Engineer.  Well, have to say that he loves his body. lol  Showing up shirtless.....risky move, however even riskier was stripping to his underwear and jumping in the pool.  He was very nice looking and I believe that Des "will accept those abs".
• James 27 - Advertising. Intro line......"loyalty is love".  Seems like he's nice, but not sure about him.
• Larry 34 - ER doctor.  This guy gave me the creeps.  I think I'd be scared if I was in the ER and he was on duty.  His intro was an awkward dance & dip that ended with Des being all tangled in her dress.  Then the one on one talk was not much better....as Des didn't even remember the awkward dance til he mentioned it and then I felt like crickets should be chirping during their "talk".  Guess Des thought it was awkward too as she asked him "Are you sleepy?"......actually Des, I think Dopey would have been better.  (No insult intended to my fave dwarf...Dopey)
• Nick R 26 - Tailor/Magician.  I can't even put into words my thoughts on this guy.  My sister said that he reminded her of the boss in the movie "13 going on 30".  I kind of agree.  His intro was different by lighting a paper rose (I guess that's what it was) and turning it into a white rose.  However, the rest of his tricks went down in flames.
• Zack K 28 - Book Publisher.  Only thing that stood out with him was that he wore a tux with tennis shoes.  Don't really know much else about him.
• Diogo 29 - Ski Resort Manager.  Bless his heart.  He showed up in a suit of armor.  Nice try, I guess.  Seems to be a nice guy......the little bit we saw of him.
• Chris 27 - Mortgage Broker. I liked this guy.  He is cute and seems to have a good sense of humor.  Great intro with him getting down on one knee and asking Des if he can tie his shoe. 
• Mike R 27 - Dental Student.  I think someone should tell him that people really don't like going to the dentist, so showing up dressed like one will probably not make an awesome first impression.  I agree with him though, if he had a British accent he probably would have gone farther.
• Robert 30 - Advertising.  Oh yes, the sign spinning guy.  Just think if we put him and the hashtag guy together what an awesome pair that would be.  Not really sure of my thoughts on him yet.  At least he doesn't annoy me..........YET.
• Juan Pablo 31 - Former Pro Soccer Player.  Must say.......cutie!!!  And oh my, when he talks.......love the accent.  Des called him "a dream of a man".  Hmmm I think she may like him. :)
• Brandon 26 - Painting Contractor. Showed up for his intro on a motorcycle..........cute.  Thought it was sweet that he gave Des his mother's 7 years sober coin.  Hope he'll make it to the hometown dates so that his mom can get it back.
• Brian 29 - Financial Advisor.  Yep.......have nothing to say about him.
• Micah 32 - Law Student.  Oh here is another Bless his heart.  I think he thought designing his outfit was a good idea for a first impression, however it was a flop.  Prob was a cute guy if he didn't look like such a dork.
• Nick M 27 - Investment Advisor.  Wrote Des a poem.  Wasn't blown away by it, but nice gesture.  That's all I have on him.
• Dan 30 - Beverage Sales Director.  Nothing to report on him either.
• Ben 28 - Entrepreneur.  Definitely wins the cute intro award by using Brody.  Brownie points given for that.  However, I'm wondering now if that's really his son.......Liked him at first, but now I'm wondering if it's all an act.  Didn't like how he was trying to give the other guy's advice after he got the first rose.

So who went home deflated:

• Jonathan - didn't even make it to the rose ceremony.  Des sent him home before then. Guess his lovetank will stay full awhile longer. lol
• Micah - next time come in store bought clothes
• Diogo - seems like a nice guy.  Lose the armor though.
• Mike R- Sorry, but "McDreamy" was not a dentist.
• Nick R - Cool it on the magic tricks.
• Larry - Needs to get some rest and some dance lessons too.

Today......

So today is kind of a rough day.  Haven't really wanted to talk about it, but figured that I could write about it instead.

Today would have been mine & Brett's 8th Anniversary.  This day is mixed with happiness from remembering this day so many years ago......which was one of the happiest days of my life......but then it's also sad because we don't have this time to share and celebrate together.

Makes me feel even lonelier than I normally do.

I know that God has a plan for everything, but sometimes I just don't understand.  But, I know that we're not always meant to.

Brett............I want you to know that I love you and I miss you and I am so thankful for all the time that we had together.  I love you my baby.

Yes, Yes, I know.....I was away AGAIN......

Okay, well, I have an excuse..........well for part of the time anyway....

I got sick........well, first I got hurt.  I pulled a disc in my back..........which sent me to Urgent Care and I think that's how I got sick.

After being miserable for several days with a sore throat and awful cough, I went to the doctor and found out that I had a sinus infection, asthma, bronchitis, and cough.  Yeah, lots! lol  I left the doctor's office and went to the store and got 5 prescriptions, yep, you read it right FIVE!

After finished the first dose of antibiotics, was still sick, so guess what........I'm on round 2. lol

I'm happy to say that I am starting to feel much better and I am very thankful!!!

So, on to posting!!!!!

Misc TV thoughts

Wow.....it's been almost 2 months since I wrote on here.  I need to get better about this. lol

Love in the Wild:
Was very glad that Ken and Yanina won.  They deserved it and seemed like a sweet couple.

The Bachelorette:
Very glad that it was Jef in the end.  He seems like such a sweetie.  I hope they will work out.  Time will tell.

Bachelor Pad:
Tough season as I really didn't like any of the people on it.  

Whatever little bit of Chris that I liked, was changed after this show.  

And the finale.......Nick.......I have no nice words to say, so I will not comment.   While I understand what he did, I still think it was wrong.  Money goes to people's heads.  So sad.

Big Brother:
I liked most of the cast this season, but I think my faves are: Shane, Danielle, Dan, and Frank.

However, Dan has disappointed me. I liked him in the beginning and I know that he's playing a great *game*....just don't like what he's doing to people in the process.  Oh well, like I said......it's a game.  

I hope Danielle can win.

So You Think You Can Dance:

Well, ended up that I did have 2 faves.......Audrey and Matthew.  Was NOT happy when Matthew was sent home and then the next week, Audrey went home.  *sigh*

I am really cheering for Eliana to win and Cyrus too.

Wow......I was reading through some of my comments on here and time really changes things.

Love in the Wild

Okay, so I had put that my fave was Jesse...........boy was I wrong about that.  He showed his true colors and even though he may look good, he's a jerk.  None of the girls wanted him and he was sent home.

Also, I put that Ali was my fave girl.......nope, she ended up going guy to guy and then ended up alone and went home.

Don't really have a fave.....but hope that Ken and Yanina win.  They're a cute and sweet couple.

I liked Ben, til he dumped Jenny for *Jugs*. And don't like Ben any longer.

Was glad to see that Chase & Summer were still dating.  This show has better results than the Bachelor/Bachelorette. :)

The Bachelorette

Liked the final 3 choices, but of those my faves would be Sean and Jef.  Arie, still like him, but he's not my fave. 

Sadly, she sent Sean home..............(*psst hey Sean............I'm still single.  *hint, hint*)

 I really hope that she picks Jef.....as he seems like a great guy.  But we shall see.

So You Think You Can Dance

Well, still don't have a favorite.  I like too many of them to decide, but I guess if I had to pick, I would say that Audrey is my fave girl.  She's just so cute and she's a beautiful dancer.

Of the guys........not sure.  I like alot of them and can't remember their names right now.

Was sad to see Daniel go this week.  I liked him. :(

So since I was away during part of this, I will finish off with my thoughts of my shows that just ended and then pick up with the current ones.

Dancing With The Stars:
Was VERY happy with the outcome. Didn't care if Donald won or Katherine as long as it wasn't William.  Woohoo......goodbye William.

America's Next Top Model:
Over the moon excited that my fave Brit won the whole thing.  Way to go Sophie!!!  So happy for her!!!

American Idol:
Pleased with the outcome of this one too.  Phillip Phillips is good.  However, will I buy his music.......probably not.......but wish him all the best anyway. :)

So You Think You Can Dance:
Hmmmm looks like alot of really good dancers again this year.  Don't have a fave as of yet......will let you know as soon as I do. :)  But, I've been impressed by several.

The Bachelorette:
Wasn't going to watch this, because I'm not a big Emily fan........not really sure why, but just not.  But alas, my sister got me watching it once again. lol

There were some good guys, but alot of dorks too.

I really liked Charlie and was sad to see him go home.  hmmmm......if he's still single............I'm still single.........just saying. ;-)  (hahaha like he'd be reading this anyway) hehehe

Totally was not sad to see Kalen go home. What a jerk.  And he was a jerk from night one.  He should have been sent packing then.  But, at least now he's gone.  *and everyone cheers*

Next one I hope to make an exit is Ryan.  He rubs me the wrong way and I don't like him at all.

I really like Sean and Arie.  These are my 2 faves.  Sean looks like a younger version of the man that plays Frank on Army Wives........*sigh* :)

Jef is growing on me, just seems a little too young to be a husband and father.


Love in the Wild:
Not a very exciting cast this season, but I still like watching.

My fave guy is Jesse.............once again, another guy that favors Frank off of Army Wives.  Wonder if Terry Serpico has 2 sons on reality tv?? :) 

My fave girl so far is Ali.

Was not sad to see Tim and Shauna go home.  Tim was so cocky......and so help me if he would have put cake in my hair, he'd have gotten the boot immediately!  Shauna is too needy, whiney, etc....and she drove me AND her partners crazy.

Virginia Vacay......

So my family and I left for Williamsburg, VA on May 19th.  We left around 5:40AM, yes you read it right...AM.  We drove to Lumberton, NC.  We got there early afternoon and decided to have an early dinner.  So we decided upon the Texas Steakhouse.........this was a 2 in 1 trip.  (first and last)

About our dinner.......the rolls were good.  That was about it though.  Mom's salad had brown lettuce.  Mom and Dad's steaks were tough as leather.  My sister and I had chicken that was burnt.  Blech. 

We left and went back to the room and got showers.  And the most amazing thing......at 9:30PM, we turned off the lights and all went to sleep.  lol  Don't remember ever going to bed that early unless I was sick.  But we were exhausted.

Got up the next morning and left around 7AM.  And headed to Williamsburg.  We arrived at our resort.......it was okay, but not spectacular.  The lady told Daddy and I that Colonial Williamsburg was a short walk from the resort and that it was about a mile and a half long.......SHE LIED!  (that will come later...in this story)

Stay tuned........I'll keep writing on this story, as it was a long trip! lol

And I have returned.........

So after a long pause from the blogging world, I have returned.

I wish I could tell you that I had been off living a very exciting life........however, the honesty of it is, I haven't really felt like sitting down and writing.

In my defense, I was out of town for about 9 days........does that let me off the hook a little??  Maybe?? ;-)

Okay......off to do some more postings.

So I know you've just been waiting to know what's been going on in my head.......well, wait no longer......here I am. lol


Sorry for the delay, but it's been so busy lately and I haven't had the chance to sit down and write.

Here are some of my thoughts on my shows:


American Idol
Still really like Skylar, Jessica, Hollie, Colton, and Phillip.  Very glad that HeyJun or however you spell his name, finally went home.  As long as one of the above wins, it'll be a good season. :)


America's Next Top Model
Yep, still very much a Team UK fan!  The Brit girls just have way more personality than the American girls.  Honestly, don't really think I like any of the American girls.  I like all the Brit girls, but I think Sophie is my fave.


Dancing with the Stars
Well, if you know me even slightly, you'll know that Derek is my absolutely FAVE dancer....so I'm always Team Derek, regardless of who his partner is. LOL  His partner this season is okay, but def not my fave.

I like watching Jaleel aka Stefan aka Urkel.  He's a very good dancer and seems to be enjoying being on the show.

Was sad this week to see Sherri from the View go home.  I didn't know much about her, but I enjoyed her personality and you could tell how much she was loving it.

William should have gone home this week.  They screwed up in their routine many times!  But alas Cheryl is one of the fave pros so they'll stay around....also because everyone thinks William is sexy.  He's okay, but Derek is better (in my opinion anyway). ;-)


Merlin
LOVE LOVE LOVE this show.  Very sad that season 4 has come to an end, but pleased to know that they're already filming Season 5 in the UK.  (hehehe yep, I like the UK) :)


Sweet Home Alabama
Well, this season ended and Paige picked Jeremiah.  I hope that they're very happy.  He's not who I would have chosen, but that's a good thing.........means that Bubba is still single! Hmmm.......Bubba's single, I'm still single......................*grin*  (yeah, wishful thinkin' there)

I actually liked the guys on SHA better this season than the last.  I even liked a few of the city guys, especially Dustin Tavella. :)  He's a cutie.  And I love his song that he wrote "Do It Like Bubba".  If you haven't heard the song, go to YouTube and look it up.  You can even see Dustin and Bubba in the video......I highly recommend it. :)


Well, I guess that's about all the thoughts I have at the moment, but I'm sure I'll have more later.
