Date 1: "I'm waiting for a sign" - Brooks
This date started off where all first dates start...........in a bridal shop. (ummm yeah okay) lol
They had fun trying on different wedding dresses and tuxes. Brooks put on this bright green tux and he looked like Kermit the Frog. Was very glad when he changed out of it......was hurting my eyes. lol
When they found a dress and tux that they liked they left the shop, Brooks carried Des to the car and off they went........to stop at a cupcake food truck of course. hehe It was cute, they shared a cupcake.
Then they ventured to where the Hollywood sign. They got to sit on the "L" in the sign.......awwwwwwwww L is for Love. :) Brooks ever the gentleman offered Des his jacket because she got cold. :)
After leaving their cozy "L"....they headed in a shady section of town.....where they come across Road Closed blockades. Des suggested that they move them and they did and head on a bridge. In the middle of the bridge are chandeliers that are hanging and a beautiful table for a nice romantic dinner.
We learned a little bit more about Brooks.......found out that he didn't talk to his dad for many years after the divorce, but he is working on it now.
Brooks got the rose!!
After he had the rose, he was then treated to a private concert and some dancing (and kissing).
Date 2: ""Who's here for the right reasons?" - Dan, Juan Pablo, Zack K, Will, Brian, Drew, Mikey, Zak W, Nick, Michael, Brandon, Ben, James, and Kasey.
Surprise guys.......you're going to be starring in a Rap video with Soldier Boy. (must admit never heard of him before) lol
The video was called "For the Right Reasons"........original, isn't it?? lol
After "auditioning"....the following were chosen as the performers: Brandon, Michael, Ben, and James.
Brandon's character was fashioned after Kasey Kale.....the "guard and protect your heart" tattoo guy from Ali's season
Michael's character was fashioned after Jason Mesnick.
Ben's character was fashioned after Wes......the singer that had a girlfriend the whole time, but wanted to become famous with his singing.
James' character was fashioned after Rated R the wrestler.
Out of all of the costumes, I felt the most sorry for Brandon.........he didn't get to wear any pants and had to say some dumb line about his "man parts". lol
It was a rather pathetic rap video in my opinion and don't think the rappers have to worry about losing their jobs. lol
After the video was finished (and Brandon found some pants).........then they got to have some one on one time with Des.
Zak W gave Des a present which was an Antique journal. It was really sweet. There IS more to him than just his abs!!! :-)
Mikey was talking to Des, but then Ben jumped in and took Des away.
Ben talks about his son Brody again with Des and he gets the first kiss (well on this date anyway lol).
Michael tells Des that he will watch out for her. (hopefully he won't get a tattoo..........) lol
Brandon thinks that Des is an angel and tells her that he's not an Ivy League guy. His dad ran away when he was 5 and he hasn't seen him since. His mom was a drug addict and he raised his brother and sister. He said that he didn't think he would fall in "like" with Des so soon, but he has.
Mikey has a discussion with Ben and tells Ben that he is like a politician, he's not genuine. Ben told him that he was not a person that would stab you in the back..........hmmmm this remains to be seen lol
Group date rose goes to..................BEN!
Date 3: "Road Trip" - Bryden
Date starts with Des picking Bryden up for a road trip and as on any normal road trip, you have to stop for snacks. lol
There are 3 stops on this road trip:
- the Beach - here they "attempt" to fly a kite..........it doesn't even make it off the ground, so then they find a seafood restaurant and get some fish tacos. (They toast their fish tacos).......interesting
- the Orange Grove - shocker...........they picked oranges *gasp* lol
- the Inn & Spa - here they had a really nice dinner to where we learned that Bryden was in a bad accident before joining the Army. It's a miracle that he survived.
After the rose was given......I bet you can't guess where they went. (if you said a hot tub, then you are the winner)
In the hot tub, there was some really awkward conversation and then finally Des said "Just kiss me already".....and our Soldier gladly complied. There was no awkwardness from then on. :)
(Must say.........I like this guy.........)
Cocktail Party:
Here are a few recaps from the visits with Des during this time frame:
Michael G - he already has a crush on her; Mikey calls him "the kid"; tells her that he has Type 1 Diabetes (not being insensitive, but not sure why this is so important to tell her on a 2nd date, but it was important to him). Was interrupted by Ben during this confession.
Ben - takes Des to play hide and seek from the guys; shares "secret" - about their kissing; tells her that he wanted her to talk to the "right person" and not the wrong ones
Zack - shows her a list called "Things I like about you so far....." (not sure what was on this list as that's all we found out)
Brian - picks Des up and carries her outside; shares about his last relationship; says that the "d" word happens alot (d word = divorce)
Michael G pulls Ben aside to have a "talk" with him. He then tells Ben that they are not there to be best friends and that Ben rubs people the wrong way. Ben seems shocked, but yet isn't.
Recipients of Roses:
Brooks--growing on me, seems very sweet
Ben ---looking like he's going to be the guy no one likes
Bryden--love him! (and no.......not JUST because he's a military guy)
James--seems a bit fake to me....but we'll see
Kasey--#OHMY..........he didn't use one hastag (that we saw anyway) Thank goodness!!!
Dan---umm who is this guy?? Still don't know much about him
Juan Pablo--didn't see much of him this week, we'll keep him if for nothing else but the accent :)
Brad--umm another who is this guy?
Chris--still like this guy....he didn't get much air time, but still think he's a sweet one
Brian---seems nice enough, but no real opinion yet
Zak W--impressed me this week with his more serious side, he gets brownie points this week
Drew--he reminds me of someone, but I still can't figure it out who it is.......I'll keep ya posted
Mikey--he seems nice, but don't mess with him, he'll call you out on it
Zack--"Things I like about him so far".........short list......ummm nothing, don't know much about him lol
Michael G---seems nice, maybe more friend like than date material though (in my opinion)
Brandon--felt sorry for him this week, he seems like such a sweetie, just wanna hug him :)
